Webster Technique for Prenatal Care

Now offered at InMotion Health & Wellness!

The Webster Technique is a specific Chiropractic analysis for women that facilitates balance in the pelvic and abdominal muscles and ligaments.  This will reduce constraint to the woman’s uterus, allowing the baby to move freely and get into the best position for birth.  Any position of the baby other than vertex (head down) may indicate the presence of sacral subluxation, and therefore may result in intra-uterine constraint.  It is strongly recommended that the sacrum be adjusted throughout pregnancy to prevent this constraint.  This also allows the baby room to develop without restrictions to its forming cranium, spine, and other structures.

Dr. Lori is certified in this analysis technique and uses it on Moms throughout pregnancy for optimal positioning and biomechanics.

With proper Fetal positioning and nerve flow to the uterus, there is a significant decrease in dystocia (abnormal or difficult labor) and the resulting birth trauma caused by intervention.  Proper pelvic positioning allows the pelvis to move as it is designed for the baby’s journey through the birth canal.  This not only may reduce labor times, but also reduces the amount of stress put on the baby’s fragile spinal and cranial joints as it travels Earthside.

Just as hormones are changing throughout pregnancy, so does posture, impacting the amount of stress placed on the nervous system.  As the growing baby starts to add more weight to the front of mom’s body, her posture adapts to compensate.  Making sure subluxations are removed will allow 100% of Mom’s Life Expression to flow to that growing baby.  Reducing the interference to that nervous system housed in the adapting spine allows Mom’s systems and functions to be coordinated properly and as designed
