Heather Beninato is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Chiropractic Assistant since 2001. She holds a National Certification of Therapeutic Massage and BodyWork, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Heather is Certified in Full Body Active Release Technique , Nerve Entrapment, and Complex Protocols. Every ART® session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART® provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols – over 500 specific moves – are unique to ART®. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART® is not a cookie-cutter approach.
Heather is Certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment. SFMA is a set of seven full-body movement tests evaluated and scored in patients experiencing pain. The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a series of 7 full-body movement tests designed to assess fundamental patterns of movement such as bending and squatting in those with known musculoskeletal pain.
Heather is Certified in Functional Movement Screen. (FMS) is a screening tool used to evaluate seven fundamental movement patterns in individuals with no current pain complaint or musculoskeletal injury. The FMS is not intended to diagnose orthopedic problems but rather to demonstrate opportunities for improved movement in individuals.
